The 2009 calendar of black female firefighters is available
and hot.
We have all new models this year, but our mission is the
same. Empowerment for our youth is our mission and our goal
is to motivate and provide mentorship to young girls. The
black female firefighters are all professional in many walks
of life.
A
Goldsboro City, N.C. firefighter and EMS team
member died on Friday, Nov. 14 at her home following
a shift after suffering an apparent heart attack,
according to the
USFA.
Carol "Irene"
Taylor, 41, responded to an
electrical fire call early the morning and
returned to the fire station at approximately 8 a.m.
Following her shift she returned home and was found
deceased later that night.
Taylor is
survived by her six sisters; Alberta R. Lewis Hayes,
Debra Taylor,
Agnes Taylor, Erika Taylor, Sharon Battle and
Shelia Thomas; and brother, William Taylor. She is
preceded in death by her late son Jadie.
Funeral Arrangements
Visitation for Firefighter Taylor will be held
Wednesday, Nov. 19 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the
McIntyre
Funeral Home Ministries,
900 South George Street, Goldsboro, N.C.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Nov. 20
at 11 a.m. at the Bear Creek Missionary Baptist
Headquarters,
1800 South Slocumb Street, Goldsboro,
N.C.
Interment
will follow at the Elmwood Cemetery,
306 East Elm Street, Goldsboro, N.C.
